Protein Secondary Structures

Common Secondary Structural Elements

This following sections discusses some of the common secondary structures such as alpha helix and beta pleated sheet which you learned in second year biochemistry. However, we will look at a these structures in a bit more detail and discuss some 'new' additions such as the beta turn, hairpin turn, and loops.

Sheets

Loops
