Amino Acid

Carboxypeptidase A

In this tutorial you will be looking at the enzyme Carboxypeptidase A using Rasmol - an interactive Molecular Visualisation program. Versions of the software are available for Unix, Macintosh, and Dos platforms.

In order to use the Rasmol interactive program effectively, you must type in many of the commands at the Rasmol prompt:

When you begin RasMol, two windows will appear, a graphics window in which the image is displayed and a command line window in which the RasMol prompt is displayed. Set your windows up so that you can see the graphics window, the command window, and the browser window (eg. Netscape or Mosaic). Help is available to show you how to manipulate Macintosh and Unix windows.

We hope you enjoy these interactive tutorials!
