(a) Noting the color of the pocket about the phenolic group of the substrate molecule, how would you classify those amino acids that comprise the pocket?

(b) How do you reconcile this observation with the specificity of carboxypeptidase A for substrate (ie. carboxypeptidase A hydrolyses carboxy-terminal amino acid residues of proteins with a bulky aliphatic or aromatic amino acid residue more quickly than it does other carboxy-terminal residues of proteins)?
